Water Purchase Agreement
CMWSSB shall pay CWDL for the Quantity of desalinated
Sea water that it shall Off-take from the Plant as per the provisions
of the BWPA.
Scope of the work The
Project Developer shall Design, Build, Own, Operate and Transfer
100 MLD Sea Water Desalination Plant. The detailed scope of work
shall be; Detailed Design, Engineering, Financing, Procurement,
Off-take of water from the sea, treatment of sea water including
by Reverse Osmosis (RO) to the required quality of product water,
construction of underground tank for treated water, safe disposal
of concentrate (brine) and other wastes from the Plant as per
stipulated norms of Pollution Control Board, Operation & Maintenance
of the Plant for a period of 25 years.

Vacant Possession of the Site
Land is in the possession of CWDL since 14.10.05 as per the
Land Lease agreement with CMWSSB. The Land Lease is for a period
of 27 yrs.
Conditions Precedent
Set of Conditions to be satisfied by both parties of the BWPA
before the rights and obligations of the parties become effective.
Commercial Operation Date C.O.D
The date on which CWDL commences sale of Desalinated water,
after the plant is certified by CMWSSB for commencement of Operations.
Operation Period
25 yrs from the C.O.D
Project Phases
Phase–I: 15 Million Litres per Day (MLD), Phase-II: 85MLD.
Phase I & II to be completed within the Construction Period
of 15 months.
Power supply to the plant
The total power requirement and uninterrupted supply for the
project shall be made available by CMWSSB / GoTN. The cost of
power consumed shall be borne by CWDL.
Clearances
CWDL is responsible for obtaining any and all clearances required
for setting up of the Proposed plant.
Product water specifications
The product water should conform to IS Standard 10500 : 1991
